Bow Wow Is Changing His Name

Photo: hiphollywood.com

It’s been 12 YEARS since BOW WOW dropped the “LIL” from his name . . . and now, he’s scrapping the nickname altogether.  Well, he is beginning this Sunday. He announced it in an Instagram video, with this caption:  Quote, “After BET Awards [this weekend], I will no longer go by Bow Wow!  I’m going by my REAL name, Shad Moss . “Bow Wow does not fit who I am today.  I’m a father, businessman, TV host, actor, and rapper!  Time for Mr. Moss to take over!” (Here’s the video.) Is this a big deal, or nah?

The thirst is real folks….the lack of moral standards has supporters on the internet celebrating criminals, despite their felons, robberies, etc., all because you have the looks of a model. This of course, all because of Jeremy Meeks, whose mugshot hit the internet yesterday and caused a viral frenzy. Not only were there groups on the internet raising money to free Mr. Meeks, whose bond was set at 900K, it’s no surprise that the hashtag #FelonCrushFridays is trending worldwide! This is the land of second chances, no matter what your circumstances are, ergo Chris Brown, Robert Downey Jr., and a countless list of others. Click HERE to see a bevy of mugshots for #FelonCrushFridays. Hashtag #thirsty.

Things You Won’t Hear Your Dad Say

In honor of all the Dad’s out there, please enjoy the Top Things You Won’t Hear Your Dad Say. HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!

Boy did I make the right decision choosing one woman to have sex with for the rest of my life.

How did I feel when you wanted to play the viola instead of football?  Ecstatic, of course.

This Father’s Day I want nothing more than to be with you kids and your mom.

Why didn’t you just say you wanted to drop out of college and become a street musician?  Let me buy you a new harmonica.

There’s no way I can build that new addition . . . I have minimal experience and substandard tools!

Thanks to menopause, your mom looks hotter than ever.

You’re right, honey.  The NFL RedZone package is taking me away from you on Sundays.  I’ll cancel it.

Even though you still live in my basement, son, I’m glad you’re my namesake.

There’s no way I’m going to stop and admire that classic Corvette in the grocery store parking lot.

You SURE you want to go to college?  It would be a shame to see all that stand-up comedian potential go to waste.

Ugh, enough with the Bob Seger music!

Thanks, but Old Spice is a bit too strong for me.

Wouldn’t it be a better idea to invest in a sensible Dodge Caravan?

Instead of me trying to fix this, let’s just call a repairman.

You’ll never catch me in a pair of Dockers!

I’m proud of you.  WHY?  WHY?  WOULD IT HAVE HURT TO JUST SAY IT ONCE IN A WHILE?  Uh, sorry about that.

I love and respect your mother way too much to hit on the golf cart girl at this golf course.

A clogged-up sink?  Well, I certainly lack the knowledge and expertise to handle that, better call a plumber!

No beer for me, thanks.  I like to watch my football sober.

Your mom and I are having way too much sex.

Gonna skip watching football today . . . don’t want to miss the big clearance sale at Linens & Things.

Honey, would you please go to my computer and look at my browser history, and then clear it, please?

Don’t call what your mom does all the time “nagging” . . . it’s constructive criticism only meant to make me feel better about myself.

Actually, you kids have it much harder now than when I was a kid.  I had a spoiled and entitled childhood.

According to this article in “Cosmo” . . .

I get tons of compliments when I wear dark socks with sandals.

Artist Profile: Who Is Mack Wilds?

Tristan Paul Mack Wilds is best known for his acting roles as Michael Lee and Dixon Wilson on HBO’s “The Wire” and CW’s “90210” respectively, but before he hit Hollywood, Wilds dreamed of a career in music.

At around the age of 13, after puberty hit, Mack noticed his voice began to change and he then added rapping to his repertoire. “The music has always been my first love,” he says, even though his teenage years were spent acting on television and in films like 2008’s “The Secret Life of Bees” with Queen Latifah and Dakota Fanning and in 2012’s “Red Tails” alongside Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Terrence Howard. To further his career and dreams Mack released a free-seven song EP Remember Remember  in 2011. The next year he hooked up with Grammy Award-winning music producer Salaam Remi and signed with his Sony-distributed Remi Fa record label. Together the two recorded New York: A Love Story, a 1990s hip-hop-centered, R&B-laced tale of love and loss. The album’s first single “Own It” is produced by Salaam and written by Mack and R&B superstar Ne-Yo. Be on the look-out for this very talented artist on the horizon of musical greatness!

Should Guys Wear Toe Rings?

The Morning Show had that discussions this morning. I have a friend that is in his 40’s, has a beautiful wife, and a child on the way. I have known him for a long time, and growing up with him, I always noticed in the summer months, he had a toe ring on his feet. First let me say, to each his own…people can do what they want. I only ask this questions because of our judgmental society, and how others assume things, based on appearance. Is it a masculine thing to do or simply a trait of the current-day metro-sexual? What are your thoughts on wearing them?
